Freight Desk Workspace (v2)

The new full-file workspace — one screen per shipment with Stream, Tasks, Documents, Email, and Details tabs, plus a live agent sidebar.

The Freight Desk Workspace (v2) is the new, full-file view of a shipment. Where the classic Freight Desk centers on one email at a time, the workspace pulls the whole file into a single screen: everything the copilot proposed, every task, every document, the full email thread, and the shipment details — all in one place, with a live agent sidebar alongside.

How to open it

You reach the workspace from the classic Freight Desk. When you open an email or an agent action in the Freight Desk, a light-blue banner sits at the top:

Try the new Freight Desk workspace — Switch to v2 →

Click Switch to v2 → and the same file opens in the workspace. You can keep using the classic view whenever you prefer — the banner is an invitation, not a one-way door.

Layout at a glance

  • Top bar — the workspace title, a row of section links (Shipments, Agents, Fleet, Analytics), and the five workspace tabs.
  • Status banner — a colored summary card just under the tabs (see below).
  • Main panel — whichever tab you have open.
  • Agent sidebar — a fixed rail on the right (visible on wider screens) that stays put as you move between tabs.

The status banner

A single banner sums up where the file stands, in one of three states:

  • On track (green) — nothing needs you right now.
  • Needs decision (amber) — the copilot is waiting on an approval. Buttons let you Approve (with a count when several are pending), Review, or Reject.
  • Blocked (red) — something is stuck. Resolve and View log buttons appear.

The banner also shows the file's reference number, its mode and operation (for example Ocean Import), an autonomy badge (from Manual up to Full autonomy — how much the copilot is allowed to do on its own), and a stage strip tracing the file across Quote, Booking, Docs, Pickup, Transit, Customs, Delivery, and Billing. On a brand-new file that hasn't been approved yet, the banner reads New file — pending review and the stage strip is hidden until you approve it.

The five tabs

Stream

The default tab and the heart of the workspace. It stacks the copilot's action cards, most urgent first — proposed bookings and other approvals, extracted-data cards, "missing information" prompts, and any agent errors. Each card carries Approve, Reject, and Dismiss, an autonomy hint, and a quiet "if you do nothing" timer for items that will auto-apply. Below the cards sit calm status rows — shortcuts into the shipment, charges, documents, email thread, and agent activity (plus containers for ocean files and house shipments for a master). If the file is still awaiting its first approval, the Stream shows a review screen instead of the card stack.

Tasks

A Task Board that merges two things: the planned checklist of what still needs to happen and the agent tasks recording what the copilot already did. Cards flow across columns — Ready, Working, Needs Review, and Done, with Blocked, Waiting, and Failed columns appearing only when they hold something. A Next action banner points to the single best thing to do next (highlighted in red when a regulatory deadline is close). On a task card you can Start it, mark it Done, park it with Waiting on… (carrier, customer, customs, and so on), Resume a parked task, or Skip it with a reason. Regulatory tasks are tagged REG and show a countdown to their deadline.

Documents

Everything filed against the shipment, split into Received Documents and Generated Forms. Each row shows the file name, its type, and a Verified badge once it's confirmed, with View and Download on the right. Upload adds a document, and quick Generate BL / Generate Invoice buttons start a new form.

Email

The full email thread for the file, grouped by workflow stage (for example Booking, Quote, Documentation, Tracking). A new badge counts unread messages. Open any message to see the fields the copilot pulled from it and any draft reply it prepared. A reply box sits at the bottom for a quick response.

Details

The shipment's key facts, gathered into tidy sections — Routing (a clear origin → mode → destination view), Parties (shipper, consignee, notify party), Cargo (pieces, weight, volume, goods description), and References (MAWB/MBL, HAWB/HBL, file number, created date). Each field carries a small source dot telling you where the value came from — pulled from email, set by an agent decision, or entered manually — so you always know what to trust.

The agent sidebar

The right-hand rail is the copilot's live cockpit and stays visible across every tab. It holds a live position map for the lane, a running narration of what the copilot is thinking and doing, a blockers panel listing anything in the way, an autonomy control for how much the copilot may handle on its own, and a set of quick actions for the file. On narrower screens the rail tucks away so the main panel gets the room.

Keyboard shortcuts

The workspace is built for fast keyboard work. Press J / K to move between action cards, and A / R / D to approve, reject, or dismiss the focused card. E expands a card's evidence, S flips between the Stream and Tasks, and the number keys 1–5 jump straight to Stream, Tasks, Documents, Email, and Details. Esc closes the document viewer.
