Request a quote (cargo-owner wizard)
Walk through the four-step cargo-owner quote request — Route, Cargo, Services, and Compare — and save it as a draft.
If your company is set up as a cargo owner, New quote request opens a friendly four-step wizard instead of the full forwarder quote form. It walks you through Route → Cargo → Services → Compare and saves your answers as a draft you can come back to. This is the cargo-owner flow; the forwarder version is covered in the Quotes screen reference.
Your progress is saved on your device as you type, so if you step away and return on the same browser, your draft is still there. A Back button lets you revisit any earlier step.
Step 1 of 4 — Route
Tell us how and where the goods move:
- Mode — pick Ocean, Air, or Ground.
- Operation type — choose Import, Export, Domestic, or Cross-trade.
- Origin port and Destination port — optional. Enter UN/LOCODEs if you know them (for example CNSHA for Shanghai, USLAX for Los Angeles); they help route the request faster. Codes are tidied into capitals for you.
Once you've chosen a mode and an operation type, Save & continue lights up.
Step 2 of 4 — Cargo
Give us a quick summary of what's moving — no per-piece detail needed at quote time:
- Pieces
- Gross weight (kg)
- Volume (cbm)
Fill in all three (zero is fine) and Save & continue unlocks.
Step 3 of 4 — Services
Add anything that shapes the service:
- Service type — a short description such as "FCL door-to-door" or "LCL CFS-CFS".
- Notes for the forwarder — anything special, like stackability, dangerous goods, or a delivery window.
When you're ready, click Save draft. A confirmation toast tells you the request was saved and shows its new quote number.
Step 4 of 4 — Compare
The final step confirms the save — "Saved as" followed by your new quote number — and is honest about what happens next. Your request is safely stored as a draft. Sending it out to several forwarders at once (the Freight Network) isn't live yet, so for now you can share the draft with a forwarder you already work with, or add more detail later.
