Rate Intelligence
Approve or reject a rate card
Sign off on rate cards awaiting approval — separation of duties means the approver can't be the creator — from the approvals queue or the card itself.
Rate cards touch what you charge, so they need a second pair of eyes before they go live. A card submitted for approval waits in Rate Intelligence → Approvals for someone other than its creator to sign off — separation of duties is enforced by the system.
Before you start
- You must not be the person who created or last submitted the card. If you are, the approval is refused ("separation-of-duties or status conflict").
Steps
- Open Rate Intelligence in the sidebar and select Approvals. The list shows every card in Pending Approval — name, carrier, mode/lane, and validity.
- Find the card — Search by name… if the list is long.
- Approve it:
- One card: select Approve on its row.
- Several at once: tick them and select Approve N in the toolbar.
- To reject instead, select the ✕ on the row to open Reject rate card, enter a reason ("e.g. missing surcharges"), and select Reject. The submitter sees your reason and can re-edit before resubmitting.
Result
Approved cards become Active and start pricing quotes; rejected cards drop back to Draft with your reason attached. You can also approve or reject from the card's own detail page — its header carries Approve, Reject, and Submit for Approval while it is pending.
