Manage shipment legs
Add a single transportation leg or create several from a template on the shipment's Legs / journey board, and edit or delete legs there.
A shipment's journey can be broken into legs β the individual moves that carry the cargo from
origin to destination (pickup, drayage, linehaul, delivery, and so on). Legs live on the
Legs tab of the shipment detail page (also reachable at its own /legs URL).
The board is titled "Container Journey Board". This surface is English-only today.
Add a single leg
- On the Legs board, open the Add leg menu (top right) and choose Add single leg.
- In the Add single leg dialog, set:
- Leg type β for example Pickup, Pre-carriage, On-carriage, Transship, Delivery, Drayage, Last mile, or Linehaul.
- Mode β Ground, Ocean, Air, or Multimodal.
- Origin port and Destination port (both required).
- ETD, ETA, and optional Notes.
- Select Add leg. The leg's sequence number is assigned automatically.
Create legs from a template
To build a multi-leg journey in one pass:
- Open the Add leg menu and choose Create legs from template.
- Pick a Template β your own (My templates) or a shared System template. A preview shows the leg count and the modality chain.
- Select Use this template, then under Configure legs fill in each leg's Modality, Leg type, Carrier, Fuel, Load, and Notes.
- Select Create legs. One leg is created per row. Templates are maintained under Settings.
Edit or delete a leg
On the journey board, use a leg's Row actions menu to Delete leg (with a confirmation), or Edit in full editor for the complete set of fields. You can also mark a leg completed or flag it as an exception from there. Legs order by their assigned sequence.
