Create a monitoring rule

Set up a Command Center monitor that watches a shipment, invoice, quote, or account field and alerts you when a condition is met.

A monitor is a standing rule that watches one field on your records and fires an alert the moment it changes to match your condition β€” "tell me when this shipment goes on customs hold", "flag any invoice over 30 days". Monitors live under Command Center β†’ Monitors.

Steps

  1. Open Command Center in the sidebar and select the Monitors tab.
  2. Select Create Monitor to open the Create Monitoring Rule dialog.
  3. Fill it in:
    • Label β€” a plain description, e.g. "Alert when shipment is CUSTOMS_HOLD".
    • Entity Type β€” Shipment, Invoice, Quote, Account, or Container.
    • Entity ID (optional) β€” a specific record, or leave blank to watch all of that type.
    • Field, Operator (Equals, Not equal, Greater than, Contains, One of...), and Value β€” the condition to match.
    • Severity β€” Info, Warning, or Critical.
    • Recurring β€” keep firing on every match; leave unchecked to auto-disable after the first.
  4. Select Create Monitor.

Result

The rule appears in the list with a severity dot and its condition. It runs on a schedule and raises an alert (and increments fired Β· 24h) whenever the condition is met.

Manage existing monitors

  • Toggle the switch on a card to enable / disable it.
  • History expands the fire log; Delete β†’ Confirm? removes the rule.
  • Filter the list by entity type or by Active / Disabled.

Suggestions

When you keep opening the same record, Linbis surfaces a suggestion card ("You've checked … N times this week."). Select Set up monitor to pre-fill the dialog for that record, or dismiss it with Not now or Don't suggest again.
