Quick Receive — barcode intake
Scan tracking barcodes at the dock to create a minimal receipt per scan, then finish each receipt's details later.
Quick Receive — reached from Quick Receive on the Receipts page header — is
built for fast dock intake: "Scan multiple packages rapidly. Complete details later." Each scan
creates a real warehouse receipt (status Pending) with an auto-generated WR###### number;
you fill in the parties and cargo afterward. The screen is titled "Quick Receive - Barcode
Scanning" and is English-only today.
Set the session context once
Under Receiving Context ("Set once, applies to all scanned receipts"), set:
- Carrier — optional; applies to every receipt you scan this session.
- Received Date & Time — defaults to now.
There is no warehouse or piece-count field here — each scan records one piece by default, to be reconciled later.
Scan the cargo
- Put the cursor in Scan Tracking Number (it auto-focuses).
- Scan a barcode or type a tracking number and press Enter, or select Add Receipt.
- The new receipt is prepended to the Scanned Receipts table with a PENDING status. The input clears and refocuses, so you can scan the next package immediately.
Scanning the same tracking number twice in a session is blocked with a "Duplicate Tracking Number" message — no duplicate receipt is created.
Finish the details
- Select any row in Scanned Receipts to open that receipt and complete the shipper, consignee, commodities, and weights — the same receive-cargo fields.
- Clear All empties the on-screen list (it does not delete the created receipts).
- Done returns you to the Receipts list.
The receipts you started here also show up as Pending details on the Scan kiosk, so another operator can complete them.
