Connect email

Connect Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP mailbox so the email agent can read, draft, and send — plus reconnect, disconnect, share a mailbox, and add shared inboxes.

Email connections (/settings/integrations/email) is the full mailbox surface behind the Integrations card: "Connect Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP mailbox (e.g. Alibaba Mail) so Linbis can read, draft, and send emails on your behalf. Reconnect if the provider revokes the authorization." Connect at least one mailbox before you rely on the email agent.

Add an account

Under Add another account ("You can connect multiple inboxes"), choose:

  • Continue with Gmail or Continue with Outlook — a full-page OAuth redirect; approve every requested permission, and Linbis returns you here.
  • Alibaba Mail or other (IMAP) — opens Connect a mailbox, where you enter an Email address and a 16-character App password ("Not your email login password"). Advanced server settings exposes IMAP/SMTP host, port, and the folder to sync. Choose Connect mailbox — Linbis verifies the connection before saving.
  • Connect an Outlook shared mailbox (ops@, quotes@ …) — one person signs in with a Microsoft 365 account that has Full Access and Send As; the whole team then works the inbox in Linbis.

Manage a connection

Each connected mailbox is a card with a status badge — Connected or Reconnect needed — and its provider and last-sync time. Actions:

  • Reconnect — reruns OAuth (or the IMAP dialog) when a sign-in expires or a permission is revoked. The card explains why, e.g. "Your sign-in expired. Click Reconnect to authorize Linbis again."
  • Disconnect (trash icon) — confirms "Disconnect … Linbis will no longer be able to read or send mail on this account until you reconnect."
  • Share / Manage access — opens Share mailbox with three visibility options: Private ("Only you can see and work this mailbox's emails."), Shared ("You + the teammates you add work it together."), and Everyone in the organization. On Shared, add or remove teammates under Shared with.
