Mobile App
Make Linbis installable on phones with your own icon, name, and colors, and show your team how to add it to their home screen.
Mobile App (/settings/mobile) lets administrators "Make Linbis installable on phones with your
own icon, name, and colors." Only admins can open it; others see "Only administrators can manage
mobile app settings."
Branding
The branding form controls how the installed app looks:
- The Mobile App switch enables the installable (PWA) experience.
- App name is "Shown under the icon on Android and in the install prompt."
- Short name is "Used on the home screen. Keep it short so it isn't truncated" (a live counter warns past 12 characters).
- Theme color and Background color each take a hex value; a contrast warning flags colors below AA readability.
Choose Save to apply. A HomeScreenPreview tile shows how the icon and short name will look.
App icon
Under App icon, "Use a square PNG, JPG, or WebP at least 512px. We generate every size for you." Upload icon replaces the default; while sizes are generated it shows "Generating icons…". Reset to Linbis icon restores the default (disabled when already default).
Install instructions
How to install the app has two tabs — iPhone (Safari) and Android (Chrome) — with step-by-step guidance. The iOS note is important: "On iPhone you must use Safari — installing from Chrome or Firefox will not work." iOS uses Share → Add to Home Screen → Add; Android uses the Chrome menu's Install app / Add to Home screen.
