Income Statement
The Income Statement (P&L) report — Revenue and Expenses for an accounting period, ending in Net Income.
Accounting → Reports → Income Statement opens the Financial Reports page on its Income Statement tab. The report heading reads Income Statement (P&L) — "Revenue and Expenses for a specific period" — and shows how the company performed over a period rather than at a point in time.
Filter
- Accounting Period — pick one from the selector ("Select a period"). Until you choose one the page prompts "Select an accounting period to view the income statement." The chosen period's name and its start and end dates are shown above the tables.
Sections
Two grouped tables, each with Account and Amount columns:
- Revenue — subtotaled as Total Revenue (reads "No revenue recorded" when empty).
- Expenses — subtotaled as Total Expenses, shown in parentheses ("No expenses recorded" when empty).
Net Income closes the report: revenue minus expenses for the period.
